The evidence presented by that site you linked to that children are actually born with sin is the following, written by David: "I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me." What?! How is that evidence?! Evidently the bible was written before the advent of the scientific method.

Thanks for the kind words John. I should probably try and be less offensive in my writing, but having escaped Christianity myself I've grown a bit annoyed by the hypocrisy I see from my religious brethren. If you want to delve more into the seedy underworld of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition, check out out this excellent series over at the Evangelical Atheist:

I'm a former christian who just recently began considering these questions and realized the absurdity of believing in any one religion; the clincher for me was the idea that god had to have created evil; even if he made satan, and satan chose to rebel, the very idea that satan could rebel against god had to have come from god; it would have been impossible for satan to generate an original idea. furthermore, every idea had to have come from god at some point, if god is truly the only source of everything, material and immaterial. which leaves three conclusions: 1) God is unbelievably cruel; 2) the deists were right; 3) there is no god. since i am new to this line of thinking i would place myself in the deists category, in that it's hard to grasp the concept of there not being a god. perhaps i will forego even that someday. either way, thanks for your honesty in your writing. it's all brilliant.
